Kelly is graduating High School this year. Wow does that make me an old man. We have pictures when she was a baby. We were over to see their new place and I saw this moment.
Jim was the twin brother of Bob. I knew them since I was 14. We had lots of good times together. Jim had made up a book of poems. I took and made up the cover shot shown.
The Primarflex II is a 2 1/4 X 2 1/4 single lens reflex with a Carl Zeiss Tessar 170mm lens. It used 120 roll film. I purchased it in Germany during my tour of duty there in 1951-53. I still have that camera but it's not in working order.
The boys are building flying stick airplane models at the Du Page County Fairgrounds model airplane show. Their flights didn't win anything but they had fun.
Our granddaughter Paige puckered up for me to use her picture in Adobe Photoshop. She really doesn't play the tuba but we had fun putting her behind the horn. the only part of her used was her head. That's her brother Michael's reflection in the horn.
Tracy and Beth fell in love and got married in 1992. At this time they have four of our grandchildren. Tracy is checking Beth's heart to see if he's exciting her.
Taken with a Nikon F2S with a Nikor 50mm F/1.4 lens at our house. Film was: Kodacolor.
We had a nice visit with my daughters, Vickie, from Florida and Laurel from Berwyn IL. Laurel was pregnant with one of our grand children. I can't remember which one, shame on me. Maybe some family member can help so I can give this shot a update.
Taken with a Nikon F2S with a 50mm F/1.4 lens.
Film: KodacolorII.
We had one of the rare visits with our Great Grand-daughter Violeta. She's such a delight. A ham when she gets her picture taken. She is very photogenic though.
Taken with a Canon XSi, hand held at 1/15 sec - f/3.2 with the 18-55mm kit lens using natural light. ISO600.
Wow! Violeta our great grandaughter is 4 already. How fast the time goes when you get old. Seems like yesterday she was a baby. Anyway, she had lots of fun on her special day.
Taken with a Canon Powershot Pro1: 1/60 - F/3.2 Natural light
Just horsing around in Photoshop. I liked the Charley McCarthy and Marylin Monroe Pic. I thought I would like to take Charley's place..... Well! I can dream can't I.
I became interested in photography in 1940 at age 11 with a 49cent camera and a 15cent roll of film. Photography is my main hobby. model RC planes and model trains are also hobbies of mine. Getting too old to tinker with gardening anymore.
I'm married to my Angel Ellie. She makes me happier then all my hobbies.
My main interest in Photography is Family and friends. This is most important to me because people age so fast and before you know it there gone. I feel I need to capture that moment before then.
Landscapes will always be there although seasons change.
Wildlife pictures are nice but lack the human element. I do some flower shots but just don't enjoy them unless someone is included.
So, the human element with all the different and interesting expressions is the most important thing to me and that's what I will concentrate on for the remainder of my life.
